Meet The Owners

UNDER CONSTRUCTION - both this page and Dick Michaels

If you were to ask Camille Michaels what she does for a living, most people would be surprised perhaps even shocked. After all not many people living in Iowa have even seen a porcupine. Yet Camille has emerged as one of the most well known porcupine roach makers in America.

What started as a labor of love for her son, has led to a journey lasting over 20 years. Over those years she has received many honors. Most recently being commissioned to make roaches for an upcoming History Channel documentry on the Blackhawk Wars.

All honors aside, Camille takes the greatest pride in seeing her roaches being worn, whether by kids taking their first steps on the dance floor or by World Dance Champians like Ben Lovejoy.

Camille lives in West Burlington, Iowa with husband Dick. Together they travel the Rendezvous and Pow Wow curcuit extensively throughout the year.
